Hi anyone interested in exploring the Amalfi Coast in June 2013. Myself and another are flying to Naples on Monday 17th June, then the following day heading down to Sorrento by train for 7 nights where we have rented an apartment as a base to explore this beautiful part of Italy. From there we plan to visit many of the coastal towns such as Amalfi, and explore the lost cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. We leave the apartment on 25th June and then plan to take a ferry to the Island of Capri to spend a day (1 night)  there before heading back to Naples to fly home on the 28th.
We are flying from Gatwick and Standstead on the morning of 17th at 6.00 am ish and then meeting at Naples airport.  The Return flights are approx £200.  The hotel in Naples for the first night based on 3 sharing a triple room is about £23 plus the 1.50 Euro tax that you pay for any accommodation in Italy.  The apartment has 3 double beds and if there are three of us, it will be £250 each, however if you are happy to share (baring in mind these are double beds) the cost drops, ie so if there were four of us it would be £190 per person etc.  The apartment is 3* and we plan to use it as a base, although it does have a pool and the beach in Sorrento for days when you don't feel like doing too much is approx 1 KM walk.  No accommodation has been booked after leaving the apartment on 25th but the plan is to spend a night in Capri and then back to Naples for the last two nights but is open to discussion.  The flights home are at 10 am on the 28th.

If you are interested let me know soon as this is only a month away:-)
