Vineyard day trip
Hi all
Have done some research on the subject of Vineyard tours/lunch in Sussex/Surrey area. One that sounds a little different to the usual is Nutbourne near Pulborough, RH20 2HE. They keep Alpacas and llamas as well as grow vines and hold tastings on demand in an old Windmill. There isnt a restaurant but cafes locally or take own food. I will have a look at local eateries. The owner tells me it is a very beautiful spot.
There are several vineyards in the south of England although some are a long trek so if anyone has a favourite or can recomend one we could visit as a group please send me your thoughts. Would prefer to avoid Denbies as it sounds a very large commercial "Disney" type affair.
Ridgeview has a tasting, tour, Champagne & canapes on the 16 Sept for £15 each starting at 7pm which could be another option.

This sound likes fun, Jerseygirl. :) I would be interesting in coming along. I like sound of the place with the animals. Would prefer just "tastings", as I would be driving - so champagne one in Sept would be a no-go for me!

Sounds good to me too. I should like to join in, depending on the date. Thanks for looking into this.
i'd also be interested, depending on date, etc.
The vineyard in Biddenden, Kent is good fun - you get a tour of the vineyard, tasting and when I went several years ago they had a restaurant on site.
