Cruise sounds interesting. Who is the travel agent? and does that price include flight to Rome and board?

yes I booked with CO-OP travel I saw what I wanted online put it in the shopping basket then rang them up because I wasn't sure it was all correct but it was flights are Heathrow to Rome but they couldn't tell me who with or what times I am hoping its British Airways

l may have been interested in this one but l will be on a Caribbean cruise on those dates - with B A flights.

l have been on the Norwegian Jade - nice more casual type ship, lot's of different eating places to try and your itinerary is good too. That also seems a good price for a single cabin...

Thanks Val NCL is a new line for me as is the more casual . Liz has already booked so hopefully a few more ladies may too, then it would be a T&L 10 day party . I am not sure if I fancy the Caribbean you will have to let me know what its like when you get back.

Already been 3 - 4 times it's absolutely wonderful apart from Venice it's my favourite cruise place. We are doing a flight to Barbados, 2 weeks around the islands then a week's Transatlantic cruise back to Southampton, my home town. Going on P & O Azura which is a lovely ship. Well worth the longer flight.

I have been on the NCL Jade 3 times and I love it. Have done the 10 day Eastern Med cruise & sailed from Venice. They are are wonderful and I had marvellous times.

Hi Val Have you been on this particular cruise and at the same time of year March/April?? If so what was the weather like? Am considering it but am not sure about the time of year.

lf l can help l will. Living in Southampton is easy for cruising - l have sailed from here to the Eastern Med in June last year and September this year. Both times we had lovely weather but not sure what it would be like in March / April - however you would be boarding in Rome ?
l suggest you google weather channel for monthly temperatures......perhaps that would give you more info.

l have visited Istanbul but just did a stopover on a cruise ship. l don't usually do ship shore excursions as l find them expensive and would rather 'do my own thing'. However as we hadn't visited Istanbul before my friend and l booked a trip to go around the palaces etc which was interesting - full of gold and numerous priceless jewels and then on to the outside bazaar/market which was huge and could have spent all day there bargaining....

lt's a East meets West experience and as you stand on the ship's deck watching the numerous boats crossing the huge harbour you can here the call to prayer which echo's all around and a bit eerie but unforgetable. We went on a Royal Caribbean ship and spent 24 hrs there.

Hope you get a T & L party going - there are 6 of us doing a 3 day cruise to Amsterdam in 2 weeks time - it should be good.

thanks Val Istanbul is the place I am most looking forward to. I have looked at the hop on hop off bus for a tour around everywhere and i fancy the blue mosque and Topkapi palace. yes ships tours are very expensive
