A different kind of travel company

Does anyone know of a service that helps like-minded high-end travelers find each other? I am looking for people for international travel who stay in 5 star hotels, enjoy good food and wine, and aren't bothered by paying a few bucks for it; people who are comfortable doing things on their own or coordinating with one or more other people; someone who can be gone for a couple of weeks at a time. I am searching for an entity that matches people who like traveling the same way…meaning class of hotel, style of restaurants, pace of travel… I am not looking for a 'companion' or someone to share rooms to save on expenses. I have a vast list of places I would care to visit, but not always alone. Has anyone heard of such a company?

In England we have Saga travel which caters for over 50's and while not at the 'posh' end of the scale is also not at the bottom. They can be fairly expensive also and seem to use good quality hotels and cater for singles. I am going with them to India in Jan for the first time so will know more after then. I like that they pick me up at my home and escort me to the airport which is 3 to 4 hours drive away.
They also have an alternative menu in the hotels for people who can't deal with some foods. I have found many little extras that I haven't had before and I'm really looking forward to it. I love being looked after!

hi 4corners you might find someone on this site but perhaps you could update your profile/status as it does not give another traveller enough information about you/your likes dislikes, what you are like as a person - Jules Verne is another high end supplier of holidays - dont miss out on real life as that is what you see when you go "down market" regards Michelle
Hi there! I'm a totally down market traveller, but my son is working for a company in Winnipeg that sounds as if it might be what you are looking for. Magellan Vacations or maybe it's Magellan Hotels.
Contacting them (I think five star hotels only, maybe some really good 4 star ones) might put you in contact with a sort of upmarket web.
I know with my sort of travel that its mostly on references from other places/people. So why not for your sort of travel?
Someday I WILL treat myself to a luxury, pampered experience, but ..... hard to break the habit of a lifetime!
Anyway, I just mentioned the above as I didn't know such organizations existed, those that cater to the wealthy and famous. Well, I only didn't know because I never thought of it, but am amused that MY son is currently checking out many of the posh hotels and services as part of his training.
I just hope to heaven that he's updated his wardrobe!!!! I said he might need a suit and he suggested Goodwill. Er .... NO.
