Hi there, I've been invited to Kenya with a friend in 2015 and just wanted to know if any members of T&L had been, visited? Had any advice, warnings etc.
Basically, a friend of mine's father has built a ranch out there in a town called Malindi, walking distance from a beach. He has a local man (nephew) who looks after the property and who would be our guide.
My friend wants to go on a safari whilst we're out there and then the rest of the time, just chill at the ranch and on the beach.
I'm a little apprehensive after reading Gov.UK guidelines about travel to Kenya. However, it does appeal to me to visit another country which would be so completely different to what I'm used to visiting. It would be very useful to know from first hand experience as well as reading other information online / the internet etc. Thank you in advance for your time.
