Hi Ladies. Being new to T&L I was wondering if people use this website to swap their homes with each other for holidays either in the UK or abroad? If they do how popular is it?

Thanks Michelle. It's something I've thought about doing for a while now as it makes for a really affordable way to travel to different parts of the world. I've looked at a couple of agencies offering this service but it all seems like too much hard work and you usually have to pay an annual membership fee. Perhaps having a section on a site like this, where people looking to swap could post details of their home/location/dates and if someone is interested in staying there (either from within the UK or overseas) they could contact the poster with details of their own home/location. A few emails/telephone calls later and its all sorted.

Yes girls, I too think this is a great idea. A great way to see very different places if your on a budget. I am on the Isle of Man and would certainly give it a go.

Have seen a request a few weeks ago from a lady in Canada - her place looked fabulous - but can't find it on the forum at the moment. There is another from a lady in Cornwall - page 4 on 'Girl Talk'.
I think it's a great idea too. Maybe when I've moved next year, I'll do something about it.

Can I suggest if people would like to see this as an option on the T&L site they should post a YES/or leave a comment here. From the feedback we will be able to see if there is enough interest to warrant asking the site owners to consider it.

I would definitely be interested in this next year. I am in the Cotswolds so within reach of all the tourist villages like Bourton on the Water, Burford and Broadway. I'm also in driving distance of Oxford and Stratford on Avon.
