Dominating the hillside town of Sigüenza is its impressive castle-parador. The cathedral , is Romanesque, with later additions, such as the Gothic-Plateresque cloisters. In one of the chapels is the Tomb of El Doncel, built for Martín Vázquez de Arce, Isabel of Castile’s page. He was killed in battle against the Moors in 1486. The sacristy has a ceiling carved with flowers and cherubs.
